The Red Bull Ring is one of those European circuits that are quite busy throughout the season and not only host competitions of different levels, up to the Austrian Grand Prix.
An interesting program will start there on April 22, called ‘Drive with a Professional’, the essence of which is that fast driving enthusiasts will practice on the track for two days under the personal guidance of Jean Alesi.
The former Formula 1 driver will help program participants with advice, share his experiences, warn about mistakes and be ready to answer questions.
“The Red Bull Ring is a combination of speed and precision control, this circuit can be considered an example of a balanced combination of fast sections with technical corners. – said Alesi, who has more than 200 Grand Prix to his name. “The driver’s skill and adaptability are really tested here. Seeing participants put my instructions into practice on the track will be the most rewarding part of this new experience for me.”
Experienced local instructors will work with Alesi. On the first day, the program participants must get up to speed and feel comfortable behind the wheel of the Porsche 718 Cayman S and KTM X-Bow sports cars in the race training center of the Austrian circuit. First the instructor drives the car, then he switches places with the “student”.
On the second day, the participants will already be driving Formula 4 cars, and this is real racing equipment, albeit at entry level.
Of course, the fun is not free: participation in such a two-day course costs 4,300 euros, but the program also includes a final gala party with an extensive dinner and wine tasting. It is just not stated whether these will be Austrian wines (and they are quite good there) or from Alesi’s own French vineyards.
