Preparations for the 81st Grand Prix are being completed in Monaco

Preparations are being completed in the Mediterranean principality for the Monaco Grand Prix, which will be held on the famous city circuit for the 81st time this weekend. The Auto Club of Monaco reported that the day before all the teams’ freight had arrived safely and team staff had started setting up the garages, after which assembly and debugging of the cars would begin.

At the same time, the race organizers are preparing to welcome a whole army of fans, and from Thursday 9:00 a.m. a fan zone will open for them on the Place d’Arme, one of the central squares of the city, located next to the circuit, which will be open until 9pm every day during the race weekend.

As always, there will be many interesting things: Red Bull simulators, simulators where tire changing competitions and reaction speed tests are held; Popular DJs start performing on Friday, and after the races, concerts are held on Saturday and Sunday evenings.

The Auto Club of Monaco pays particular attention to the fact that this year on Thursday afternoon in the fan zone a meeting of fans will take place with Max Verstappen, who will take part in virtual races on the Red Bull simulator, and will also take questions from fans to answer.

Of course, Charles Leclerc, the Ferrari driver who has a special relationship in Monaco because he was born there and competes in Formula 1 under the flag of the principality, will also come and have a chat with the local audience. However, meetings with other riders from other teams have also been announced. And on Saturday, the heroes of yesteryear will take the stage: two-time world champion Mika Hakkinen and Damon Hill, who won the title in 1996.

There are also huge screens in the fan zone on which you can watch broadcasts of all the weekend’s sessions.
