Adrian Newey plans to decide on the plans later this year

Adrian Newey has not yet made a decision about his plans for the future – at least he stated this on Sky Sports, explaining that he is still working on the RB17 hypercar project, which Red Bull plans to showcase at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.

“I don’t know, I’m still working on the RB17 project and then I’ll just take some time off,” the famed race car designer said when asked what he plans to do next. – Last week I already had seven days off, and we were very lucky with the weather.

We drove our dogs in an Aston Martin DB6 (a classic British sports car from the late 60s) along the south coast and it was great fun.”

Sky Sports journalist Craig Slater then put the question more concretely: “Maybe in the autumn or closer to the winter you will have an idea of what you are going to do in the next phase of your career?”

“Yes, absolutely,” Newey replied. “I will have to make a decision, and this is exactly the task I have set myself.”

Newey also said a few words about the consequences of the incident between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris, which took place in Austria: “I think they have already found time to talk and resolve things, because they are both great guys.

I have no doubt that they will sort each other out, because in this story not everyone acted in the best way, and now there is no point in exchanging mutual accusations. They are both great racers and everything will be fine with them.”
