Williams Racing has announced that Lucas Palacio has become the newest and youngest member of their youth academy.
The ten-year-old American still does karting. Having first started driving at the age of three, he took his first victory at the age of six and went on to confidently outperform his older rivals in prestigious categories. In 2023, he won all three Mini Swift National Championships (USPKS, SKUSA Pro Tour and Stars Championship).
This year Lucas moved to international karting, where he achieved second overall results in the WSK Super Master series and then finished fourth in the ACI Italian Championship in the 60 Mini class.
Lucas Palacio: “Being part of the Williams Racing family is a dream come true. I have always loved racing and am happy to be part of this great team. I look forward to working with James Vowles, Sven Smits and everyone at Grove!”
