Athletistic/Formula 1. British drivers Lando Norris, Lewis Hamilton, George Russell and Oliver Berman have set a new Formula 1 record for the total number of points scored by drivers of the same nationality in a season. After the Mexican Grand Prix, where Norris, Hamilton and Russell combined for 40 points, the total number of points won by the British in 2024 reached 688.
This result surpassed the previous record set in 2016 by German drivers Nico Rosberg, Sebastian Vettel and Nico Hulkenberg, who together scored 670 points. Before the Mexican Grand Prix, Germany also led the season with 658 points in 2015 and 648 in 2013.
The Netherlands got 575 points in 2023. Max Verstappen brought all the points.
