Formula 1 announced a six-year extension of the contract with the organizers of the Monaco Grand Prix. According to the signed agreement, the stage on the city circuit will remain on the World Cup calendar until 2031. From 2026, the Monaco Grand Prix will be held in the first full weekend of June.
Stefano DomenicaliPresident and CEO of Formula 1: “I am pleased that Formula 1 will continue to race in Monaco until 2031. The streets of Monte Carlo are unique and a famous part of Formula 1, and the Monaco Grand Prix remains the race that all drivers want to win.
I would like to express my special thanks to Prince Albert II, the President of the Automobile Club of Monaco, Michel Boerie, and everyone involved in the renewal of this important agreement.
The signed contract marks a new era of cooperation and innovation between Formula 1 and Monaco. It is the future-proofing of Prince Albert II that will allow us to plan an optimized calendar that will reduce logistical pressure and reduce the impact of the World Cup on the environment as we continue on our path to Net Zero by 2030.”
In 2025, the Monaco Grand Prix will take place from May 23 to 25, marking the 75th anniversary of the race’s official debut in Formula 1.
