In qualifying for the sprint, Lewis Hamilton showed a seventh fastest time and was obviously upset. At the start of the short race on Saturday he gained several positions, reached the top five, but was then ahead of Charles Leclerc, his future Ferrari teammate.
After the race, the seven-time champion was asked if he hoped that things would go better for him next year and that he would be able to show good results again?
“I have no idea. “I don’t have an answer to that,” Lewis told Sky Sports. “It’s not going great, but I’m not too worried about that at the moment. I just want to get through the remaining two races, do my job and finish the season, looking towards the winter break.”
You see, I woke up this morning thinking that the most important thing is to enjoy life, and I am very grateful that I continue to do what I love even on the bad days. I’m lucky to still be in Formula 1 and compete with all these great drivers.
It’s a shame if things don’t go the way you want, no one likes to lose, but that happens sometimes.”
