The Dutch Grand Prix is the home podium for Max Verstappen. The Red Bull Racing driver wants to get a good result on the circuit in Zandvoort and is preparing for a fierce battle with Ferrari.
Max Verstappen: “After a successful weekend in Spa, I am looking forward to the Dutch Grand Prix. On the track in Zandvoort you need a lot of downforce, so it will be harder for us to dominate. I expect Ferrari to be strong.
Of course I want to show a good result, but it is much more important to earn points every time. I hope we do our job well.
It’s great that the family comes to the track to support me. I’ll try to enjoy the weekend with the fans – it’s going to be a crazy stage.”
Sergio Perez: “It’s great to be back in Zandvoort – it’s a great place. The Dutch fans are fantastic for the team and for Max, which is great.
The track is good and very difficult, but we hope to maintain the momentum we gained in Belgium. The team will analyze everything that was in the Spa to understand how I can close the gap with Max. I want to come back stronger. I have to work and I want to attack.
I think the battle in Zandvoort will be tighter and we have an exciting weekend ahead.”
