Less than a week until the Miami Grand Prix and the race on the new track promises to be very spectacular. At the very least, Valtteri Bottas, who has seen the ring around the sports and entertainment complex of the Hard Rock Stadium built on a simulator, predicts that we will see a lot of overtaking.
“Last week I worked a lot on the simulator, I drove around this track and it seems that its nature really encourages overtaking,” said Finnish driver Alfa Romeo. “I think the way it’s designed, the configuration, promises an interesting fight.”
With a lap length of 5.412 km, the course consists of 19 bends and two fairly long straights that the riders will have to overcome at full throttle. These sections end in very sharp turns, or essentially hairpin bends, they are preceded by intense braking zones.
“There are long straights and several places where overtaking is very possible,” Bottas summed up. – Let’s see how everything will happen in reality, but in theory it looks good. I’m sure we have an exciting race ahead of us.”
