2024 Holidays in Chile: all public holidays and bridges

The period includes an extra-long break for national holidays and the addition of designated days for next year’s elections.

In total, there will be nearly 20 public holidays in Chile by 2024, including days designated for upcoming elections, as determined by the Law 18,700 .

Long weekends in 2024

The first long weekend took place in early 2024, with the celebration of Monday January 1st for New Year . After that, the second was the holy weekend with Friday, March 29 marked on the calendar.

A few months later, the third long weekend of the year will see the long-awaited celebration of Wednesday, September 18, which will feature some XXL public holidays, including Friday 20th as a public holiday .

The fourth and final extended break will take place at the end of the period, with the Friday November 1st , being a holiday for All Saints’ Day.

Must-see holidays in 2024

Non-waiverable holidays are days on which the operation of certain commercial premises is prohibited, which are extended into days of rest for workers and students.
