John Krasinski named ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ by People Magazine

This year’s Sexiest Man Alive podium has a new occupant. It is about John Krasinski who received this recognition thanks to the famous Popular magazine .

Krasinski, who became known for playing Jim Halpert on The Office, said he didn’t expect to win the title and received it with great surprise.

In the statements he made to People the American actor said he was surprised to be crowned the sexiest man in the world in 2024.

“I actually went blank immediately. I didn’t think of anything else.” he told the magazine, which in this week’s edition featured the actor on the cover.

“Except maybe they’re making fun of me.” That’s not how I wake up thinking, “Is this going to be the day they ask me to be the sexiest man alive?” And yet, this is the day you made it. “They really set the bar high for me,” he added.

Regarding the reaction from those around him, Krasinski revealed that his wife, actress Emily Blunt, was “very excited” as soon as she heard the nomination. He also recalled that Blunt said that if elected, she was prepared to paper the entire house with the blanket.

“Are we going to record it on camera?” Because I think it’s like a binding contract. My kids will love it, it won’t be strange at all,” Krasinski confessed.

The 45-year-old artist began his career in the early 2000s with films like Kinsey and Taxi. During this period, he appeared in television series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

In 2005, the role with which he managed to increase his popularity in the acting profession arrived: the beloved and unforgettable Jim from The Office, whom he played for almost 200 episodes.

Krasinski also ventured into action with the series Jack Ryan, where he plays a CIA analyst who uncovers terrorist missions; in romantic comedies like License to Wed, and even in animation with the film Imaginary Friends, which he wrote and directed.
