Ice Hockey Federation of Ukraine banned the performance of Russians and Belarusians in the championship of Ukraine

Regulations have been amended

Council of the Ice Hockey Federation of Ukraine (FHU) held an online meeting, which considered a number of key issues.

The conference was attended by 16 of the 23 members of the Council. During the discussion, regulations were adopted for the upcoming season in Ukrainian hockey.

In addition, a key decision was the ban on performances in the championship of Ukraine by hockey players from Belarus and the Russian Federation.

Recall that the start of the Ukrainian Hockey Championship 2022/23 is scheduled for October 6. Participation in the championship has already been confirmed by 5 clubs: Sokol, Kharkiv Berserki, Legion, Dnepr and Kremenchug. Another club is expected to participate.

Last season in the championship of Ukraine was completed ahead of schedule due to a full-scale Russian invasion. Sokol was recognized as the champion, who was in the lead in the standings at the time of the suspension of the competition.
