The tournament will be held in the classic format: 30 rounds of the regular season, followed by a playoff among the top four teams. At the same time, there will be no match for third place in the season – bronze will automatically go to one of the losers of the semi-finals, who will take the highest place in the regular season.

The championship should start on October 6th. The regular season will last until March 5 next year, the playoffs are scheduled from March 12 to 31. A series of semi-finals and finals will be held up to three victories.

Note that up to five foreigners can enter the application of teams. However, there will be no players from Russia and Belarus in the Ukrainian championship.

Sport 1 and Sport 2 TV channels will become the TV partner of the Ukrainian Ice Hockey Championship 2022/23. The matches will also be broadcast on the FHU YouTube channel.

Last season in the championship of Ukraine was completed ahead of schedule due to a full-scale Russian invasion. Sokol was recognized as the champion, who was in the lead in the standings at the time of the suspension of the competition.
