Ovechkin and Kuznetsov supported Amirov in the fight against cancer

Players”Washington Capitals participated in the Hockey Against Cancer campaign.

Capital Club Captain Alexander Ovechkin and Yevgeny Kuznetsov supported a compatriot Rodion Amirov who fights cancer. Russian players before the game against Colorado were photographed with signs on their hands reading: “I fight for Rodion Amirov”.

21-year-old striker Salavat Yulaev was diagnosed with a brain tumor in February.

The striker has undergone a course of chemotherapy but cannot start training as he is undergoing further treatment.

As previously learned, Amirov is currently in Moscow undergoing treatment at a clinic in Skolkovo.
