Russian defender Dmitry Orlov can debut for “Boston Bruins “in the NHL regular season game against”Vancouver Canucks February 25, according to The Athletic Boston reporter Fluto Shinzawa.
On Thursday, the Washington Capitals traded Orlov and a forward Garnet Hathaway in Boston as part of a three-way deal. The 31-year-old defenseman played 686 games with the Capitals, scored 256 points (60 goals + 196 assists) with a utility rating of +104.
“Orlov and Hathaway should fly to Vancouver tomorrow. Maybe they’ll play the Canucks,” Shinzawa wrote on Twitter.
Orlov won the Stanley Cup with the Capitals in 2018.
