CSKA head coach Sergei Fedorov summarized the results of the second game against SKA (1:2) in the series of semi-finals of the Gagarin Cup.
CSKA opened the scoring after Andrey Svetlakov’s shot, but SKA then scored two goals – Valentin Zykov and Mikhail Vorobyov scored.
– Didn’t it seem to you that the second game was similar to the first? With the difference that now you don’t even have the score at the end.
– From my point of view, they are not exactly the same games. It sometimes seems so, I suppose. But nothing ever seems to me. I know for sure it was a slightly different game.
– How is the state of health of Sergei Plotnikov (the player was injured and could not finish the match – Note ed.)?
– I don’t know the information yet. I couldn’t speak to the doctors. I think everything will be fine. I hope in the next game we see him on the ice.
– He was decently “courted” like that. Maybe with Plotnikov it’s a personal story?
– Do not think. From our side as from SKA, all the guys tried to play “in the body”. It’s normal for hockey.
– I was surprised by the large number of removals from CSKA. Why so many mistakes?
– Not a question for me. Everyone has seen it all, – the correspondent of quotes Fedorov.
CSKA in the second game of the series received 12 penalty minutes, SKA – 8 minutes. After the final siren, there was a massive fight on the ice, which the referees were able to end quickly.
The series score became equal – 1-1. Next time, CSKA and SKA will face each other on April 6 in Moscow.
