NHL club “Arizona Coyotes” waiver attacker written Alex Galchenyuk in order to terminate the contract, reports the press service of the team.
The club did not specify why it intended to part ways with the 29-year-old hockey player. According to ESPN, Arizona learned of an off-ice incident involving Galchenyuk. The striker will become an unrestricted free agent. The Coyotes signed the forward July 1 to a one-year contract worth $775,000.
Galchenyuk was selected by Montreal with the third overall pick in the 2012 draft, after which he played for the Canadiens for six seasons. Subsequently, he also played for Arizona, Pittsburgh, Minnesota, Ottawa, Toronto and Colorado. In total, the American played 654 games in the NHL, scored 354 points (146 + 208).
