Babcock is the only hockey coach in history to become a member of the Triple Gold Club. As head coach, he led his teams to victory at the Olympic Games (Team Canada in 2010 and 2014) and the World Championships (Team Canada, 2004), and also won the Stanley Cup (Detroit, 2008 ).

Pascal Vincent has now been appointed as head coach of Columbus, with whom he has signed a two-year contract.
