Groshev’s puck helped Tampa beat Nashville in NHL preseason game

club Tampa Bay Lightning earned an overtime victory against the Nashville Predators in an NHL preseason game.

The match in Nashville ended with a score of 2:1 (0:0, 1:0, 0:1, 1:0). The visiting team scored goals Maxim Groshev (33rd minute) and Tyler Mott (63rd). Tommy Novak (45) scored for the losers. Nashville goaltender Yaroslav Askarov took the ice early in the third period, replacing Juuse Saros.

Anaheim beat San Jose on their ice – 4:2, Russian Ducks defender Pavel Mintyukov scored a goal and was recognized as the first star of the match.

Vancouver striker Andrei Kuzmenko made an assist in the match against Edmonton (1:2 OT). Los Angeles forward Mikhail Maltsev scored an assist in the match against Vegas (4:3 OT).

Groshev was selected 85th overall by Tampa Bay in the 2020 NHL Draft. In May of this year, he signed a rookie contract with the club.
