Athletistic / Hockey. Washington Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery shared his thoughts on Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov’s iconic shootout performance. The 31-year-old Russian helped the Caps beat the Calgary Flames at home last night (3:2 B).
“I have seen this shootout live before, but from the other team’s bench. Only that time Kuznetsov also twirled his stick. And today I had the opportunity to see for the first time such an execution of a free throw from the Washington bench, “If you haven’t seen the speed of this shootout,” Carbery said, quoted by the Washington press service.
After two matches, Washington has scored two points and is in 12th place in the Eastern Conference standings. Washington will play its next game on October 19 against the Ottawa Senators.
