Athletistic / Hockey. Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe commented on goalie Ilya Samsonov’s poor performance in the game against the Tampa Bay Lightning (4:3 OT).

“Why was Samsonov replaced? A goalkeeper has no right to concede three goals after four own shots. That’s it,” journalist Mark Masters quoted Keefe as saying on his page social networks.

Ilya Samsonov missed three goals after four shots last night and was eventually replaced. Joseph Wall took his place in the Leafs goal. The American then stopped all 29 shots on his possessions and helped the Canadian team achieve a voluntary victory.

Note that Russian striker Nikita Kucherov scored twice for Tampa. It was he who greatly contributed to the rapid replacement of Samsonov.
