Head coach of Spartak Alexey Jamnov after the victory over Sochi (4:3) in the KHL championship match, Fonbet confirmed the information about the transfer of the striker Mikhail Maltsev at the Moscow club.
“ earlier reported that Maltsev could become a hockey player for the Moscow club. Spartak offered the 25-year-old striker a contract with a salary of 15 million rubles and a place in the team’s first line. On Thursday, the hockey player posted on his social media page a quote from the song “Do You Know” by MakSim, which is the unofficial anthem of Red and White fans.
— Regarding Maltsev, please, details of the agreement: is it a lease until the end of the season?
– I can say that there is an agreement and it [Мальцев] will come. I don’t communicate about agreements, we have a sports director, everyone has their own direction,” Zhamnov said at a press conference after the match against Sochi.
“Spartacus” received Maltsev’s rights in 2022 following the trade of defender Alexander Nikishin to SKA Saint Petersburg. On July 1, Maltsev signed a one-year, $775,000 contract with Los Angeles.
This season, Maltsev played 21 games with Ontario Reign in the AHL and scored 14 (4+10) points with a “+2” rating.
