Canadian hockey player Wayne Gretzky stated that the attacker “New Jersey Devils » Jack Hughes which most resembles it in terms of gameplay.
This season, Hughes, 22, scored 38 points (14 goals, 24 assists) in 26 regular NHL games.
“Jack Hughes is so fast and energetic that he reminds me of me in the sense that he sees the ice incredibly well,” Gretzky told BR Open Ice.
Gretzky ranks first on the NHL’s all-time goalscoring list with 894 goals. Washington’s Russian forward Alexander Ovechkin has 66 goals behind him.
New Jersey is in 12th place in the Eastern Conference standings with 34 points in 31 matches.
