— You played a month in the KHL. What are your thoughts on the league?
— It’s one of the best leagues in the world. Playing in a team that always has high goals will benefit me and also help me develop individually.
— Were you able to adapt quickly?
— Hockey is the same everywhere. If you do your job correctly, everything will be fine. I won’t say it took me a long time to adapt.
— What, in your opinion, are the main differences between the KHL and the AHL, where you played before?
– At the wrestling level. In the AHL, some players don’t need the puck just to hit you. There’s nothing like that here, everything is built more on puck possession and passing.
— How were you welcomed into the team?
— I knew a lot of guys before. Some I played with in the national team, others I trained with this summer, others I know. So everything is fine.
— What goals do you set for yourself when playing in the KHL?
“Our team’s highest goal is to win the Cup. We will work on this. We have won a lot lately. The last month of the regular season remains and, God willing, we will continue in the same way,” Knyazev said, as quoted by RB Sport.
