Dementyev: ‘There was no doubt that Ovechkin’s bad streak would end’

Hockey agent Alexei Dementyev said he has no doubt that the Russian Washington Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin will break the NHL’s scoreless streak, which reached 14 games in December.

Ovechkin scored a double and an assist in the NHL regular season match against the New Jersey Devils (6:2). The Russian scored 838 goals in regular season league matches, narrowing the gap on Wayne Gretzky’s record (894) to 56 goals.

“I had no doubt that Ovechkin’s bad streak would end and he would return to the path he is currently on. In my opinion, the sooner Alexander beats Gretzky’s record, the better. God grant that he has the strength and abilities, and everything else will follow, ”quotes Dementyev in the “Championship”.
