Athletistic / Hockey. The New York Rangers defeated the Philadelphia Flyers in overtime with a score of 6:5 in an NHL regular season home game. Winners’ striker Artemy Panarin scored three assists in this match.
The 32-year-old Russian reached the 100-point mark in a single NHL season for the first time in his career. In 72 matches during the current regular season, Panarin scored 102 (43+59) points in the goal+pass system.
It is noteworthy that Artemy became only the eighth Russian hockey player who managed to score at least 100 points in one NHL season. Previously, Alexander Mogilny, Sergei Fedorov, Pavel Ber, Alexander Ovechkin, Evgeniy Malkin, Nikita Kucherov and Kirill Kaprizov achieved such a feat.
Currently, Artemi Panarin ranks fourth on the list of top scorers of the current NHL season. He is ahead of another Russian Nikita Kucherov (123), as well as two Canadians – Nathan MacKinnon (123) and Connor McDavid (119).
