Athletistic / Hockey. Chelyabinsk News. Traktor did not renew the contract with Alexey Zavarukhin and appointed Canadian Benoit Groux as head coach. Zavarukhin was offered to lead the 18th team in the VHL last season.
This information was confirmed by Traktor General Director Alexey Volkov. This way the coach will remain in the club system. Zavarukhin’s final decision has not yet been announced.
Last season, Traktor reached the semi-finals of the Gagarin Cup, where they lost to Lokomotiv in the series 0:4.
“Chelmet” took 18th place out of 29 possible in VHL.
