Travis Green named new head coach of Ottawa

Press service of the National Hockey League (NHL) club “Ottawa” announced the appointment Travis Green to become head coach of the Senators.

In this position, Green replaced Jacques Martin, who had been the team’s interim head coach since December 2023 following the firing of DJ Smith.

Ottawa did not make the playoffs at the end of the season. The team is out of contention for the Stanley Cup for the seventh straight year.

In March, Green replaced Lindy Ruff as head coach of the New Jersey Devils. Under his leadership, the team played 21 matches in the regular season, in which they won eight victories and also suffered 13 defeats.
