Khabarovsk press service “Cupid” reported that Alexander Nikitin left his position as president of the hockey club.
Nikitin has held this position since March 2023. Earlier on Thursday, he announced his resignation from the post of first deputy governor of the Khabarovsk Territory.
— On behalf of the players, the technical staff, the HC Amour team and the supporters, we express our deep gratitude to Alexandre Alexandrovitch Nikitin for his attention and leadership as president of our club.
Thanks to you, Amur not only stood strong, but also transformed into an organization with a winning mentality and the most ambitious goals. Last season, your leadership once again gave tens of thousands of residents of the Khabarovsk Territory a reason to be proud of their team.
Thank you for everything, we wish you the implementation of all your plans in the future and only victories. We will always be happy to see you in the stands on our match days,” the message read.
In the first round of the Fonbet KHL Championship playoffs of the 2023/24 season, Amur, which took eighth place in the Eastern Conference, lost in series to the future champion Metallurg Magnitogorsk (2-4).
