Canadian defender Luca Profaka has signed a contract with “Neftekhimik” reports the press service of the hockey club.
The agreement with the 22-year-old hockey player is for one year.
Last season, Profaka played in the American Hockey League (AHL) for the San Diego Gulls and Tulsa Oilers of the East Coast League (ECHL). In total, the Canadian played 74 games in the AHL, during which he scored 6 points (1+5).
In the 2023/24 season of the Fonbet KHL Championship, Neftekhimik took ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings and did not reach the playoffs.
