Earlier, media reported that the 29-year-old, whose contract expires on July 1, rejected an offer from Vancouver with a salary of around $4.5 million per year. After that, the Canucks management stopped negotiating an extension of the deal.
This season, Zadorov reached the semi-finals of the NHL Western Conference playoffs with Vancouver, where the team lost the series to Edmonton (3-4).
