Kazakhstan national team goalkeeper Andrei Shutov left Astana “Barys”, reports the press service of the hockey club.
Last season, the goaltender played 39 matches in the KHL regular season, reflecting a shooting average of 91.5%.
— We made Shutov a qualifying offer with a salary increase, but he decided to try himself in another league. The player’s rights in the KHL remain the property of Barys. We thank Andrey for his time at Barys and wish him success at his new club,” said Barys general director Oleg Bolyakin.
At the last World Championship in the Czech Republic, Shutov was among the three best players of the Kazakhstan national team.
