Florida, current Stanley Cup champion, has extended the contract of striker Verhaeghe for 8 years.

Florida “extended the contract of forward Carter Verhaeghe by 8 years, reports the press service of the National Hockey League club.

According to insider Elliott Friedman, the hockey player’s salary will amount to seven million dollars per season.

Verhaeghe is a two-time Stanley Cup winner – he first won the trophy with Tampa in 2020 and then with Florida in the summer of 2024.

In total, he played 332 matches in the regular NHL championships, in which he scored 249 (127+122) points. Last season – 72 (34+38) points in 76 matches. In the Florida Championship playoffs – 21 (11+10) points in 24 matches.
