Attack “Vityaz” Alexei Makeev talked about how the process of his adaptation to the Moscow region team is going.
On November 24, Avangard traded the striker to a club near Moscow. Makeev has previously played for Vityaz – he played for the team from 2013 to 2020 and is the top scorer in the club’s history.
On Monday, Vityaz scored a shootout victory against Nizhnekamsk Neftekhimik in the FONBET KHL championship match. Regular time and extra time of the match in Balashikha ended with a score of 3:3 (1:0, 2:2, 0:1, 0:0). The home team includes Vladimir Galuzin, Ivan Vorobyov and Alexey Makeev. The winning shootout was scored by Derek Barak.
— An interesting match, the third period with so many deletions is something special. Whether they were or not is not for me to understand. The main thing is that we survived, played successfully in the penalty shootout and won the match.
Any victory is important for us now. We start the series at home with a victory, it’s very good and positive for us. I had fun playing in a trio with Barak and Buchelnikov, we scored a goal, but not the winner. I returned to the old new Vityaz and remembered my game.
The adaptation process is easy because the club has many familiar employees. And the guys help. I had to readjust a little after Omsk, but it doesn’t matter, it’s work time. We have to prepare for the next opponent, we will take it step by step,” Makeev told RB Sport.
