Athletistic/Hockey. The Leninsky District Court of Ufa sentenced former hockey player Salavat Yulaev Anvar Suleymanov to five years probation for trying to bribe a military commissariat officer to escape military service.

The prosecutor demanded a fine of 3 million rubles, and the defense of the ex-player asked for a non-custodial sentence, and takes into account that Suleimanov admitted his guilt.

Suleymanov’s trial period will be four years. The player’s team will not appeal and are happy with the decision. It should be noted that the penalty will not affect the player’s career.

In addition to Suleimanov, hockey players Vladimir Lukin and Mikhail Vorobyov are involved in the same case.
