CSKA hockey player Plotnikov on the takeover against Radulov: “He gave away the puck, he was in an open position. And so he flew”

Moscow Striker CSKA Sergei Plotnikov commenting on the episode with the Kazan striker “Ak Barsa” Alexander Radulov in a game KHL stated that it was not his goal to apply a PTO to any particular hockey player.

On Monday, Ak Bars in Moscow defeated CSKA in the Fonbet KHL Championship match with the score 5:1. In the second half, Plotnikov used a powerful technique against Radulov.

– What is your opinion on the game?

– Yes, in general, a good game. But we conceded unnecessary goals, but we didn’t score our own. And so, in principle, at will and diligence, there are no questions. But we have to work on some tactical elements and do something with our implementation.

What was the turning point today?

Yes, it probably wasn’t. We tried to play until the end, but we still conceded goals after childish mistakes.

But everything happens, the season is long. So we won’t worry too long. We have to prepare for the next game.

You are a master of strength. How do you seize the moment to catch Radulov himself on a hit?

“I’m not looking to meet anyone. It’s just that if you see the moment and you can’t catch the puck, then why not finish it with a precise power grab? And there, Sasha threw the puck, so he was a bit in an open position. And so he flew.

Did Radulov answer you anything?

– Nah, it’s fine. It’s a game, and he understands. After the match, we talked about it a bit.

In the next game, CSKA will play away with Severstal Cherepovets on September 9.
