The Presidium of the All-Russian Swimming Federation (VFTU) supported the bid Stanislav Pozdnyakov during the election of the president of the Russian Olympic Committee, said the president of the WFTU Vladimir Salnikov .
The ROC presidential election will take place on December 20.
“We had a meeting of the presidium, which voted unanimously for the candidacy of Stanislav Pozdnyakov for the post of president of the Russian Olympic Committee,” Salnikov told .
“We have appointed Pozdnyakov to our presidium,” said Olga Brusnikina, first vice-president of the Synchronized Swimming Federation.
“We support Pozdnyakov in these elections,” confirmed Stanislav Druzhinin, president of the Russian Diving Federation.
As Yevgeny Sharonov, the first vice-president of the Russian Water Polo Federation, told , the FVPR also supports Pozdnyakov in his nomination for the chairmanship of the ROC.
