In 2022, the competition, in which all human stages per day are counted, brought together more than 92,000 participants from 83 regions of Russia, 3438 teams applied for the tournament. The main stage took place from October 15 to November 15.

The “Man Walking” project was organized four years ago by the All-Russian public organization “Nation Health League” with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the president of the league is an academician and cardiac surgeon Leo Bokeria. The project was included in the catalog of good practices in 2020, corresponding to the concept of Active Longevity within the framework of the National Demography Project.
Over the years, Olympic champion in biathlon and cross-country skiing Anfisa Reztsova, Olympic champion in high jump Andrei Silnov, as well as Alexander Tikhonov, Irina Rodnina, Alexei Voevoda, Artur Dalaloyan, Konstantin Tszyu and other famous athletes took part in the competition. .
