Russia’s honored coach Inna Goncharenko has urged figure skaters in 2023 to focus not only on learning the toughest jumps, but on other aspects as well.
– I will have a general wish for all the representatives of figure skating. Don’t give up no matter what, live figure skating, develop and create. Now, we tend to stage very interesting programs in terms of plot and composition. I would like to develop more in this direction, not to be afraid to turn to new subjects, images. Do not stop only at the study of ultra-jumps if there is a full development, – Goncharenko told Metaratings.ru.
Russian skaters have been suspended from participating in tournaments under the auspices of the International Skating Union (ISU) due to the situation in Ukraine.
