The head coach of the Russian men’s team and Dynamo Moscow, Konstantin Bryansky, commenting on the position of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on the admission of Russians to tournaments, said that it was necessary to take into account the requirements of the IOC and the reality of their implementation.
On Wednesday, the IOC said it would explore the possibility of allowing neutral Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete in international competitions that do not actively support the CBO. In most sports, against the background of the situation in Ukraine, Russian athletes were deprived of the opportunity to participate in international tournaments.
– I’m sure this is good news for the whole sports community. Many international championships have been badly affected due to the absence of Russian athletes. Our athletes are exceptional in many sports. Another question is what the IOC’s requirements will be and whether it will be realistic to meet them. Are we ready to act when the conditions are dictated to us?
In any case, we are actively following the development of events and hope for the caution of all participants in the process. The international conjecture is constantly changing, they can invent anything they want at any time. It is gratifying that we are already on the agenda, they are talking about it. They plan to restore the right to participate and compete with other athletes to Russian and Belarusian athletes,” Bryansky said on All for the Match! on MatchTV.
Matches of the Russian Volleyball Championship – Pari Superleague can be watched on the federal channel “”, as well as on the thematic channels of the holding and the sites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
