Honored coach of Russia in figure skating Alexei Mishin told that in 2016 Alexandra Trousova who came to see him, was not in his group, and the skater herself, apparently, was not interested in cooperation.

Trusova in the author’s column on said that in 2016 she could be part of Mishin’s group. The figure skater in October 2022 joined the group of coach Svetlana Sokolovskaya. Previously, Trusova studied with Eteri Tutberidze and Evgeni Plushenko.

– I do not remember Sasha’s visit in detail. I remember a smart, good, talented girl came. Alive. But at that time, I had such a group of athletes that she didn’t fit in at all. And then I had no interest, like her, apparently, in committing to our group,” Mishin told .

Trusova won silver at the 2022 Games in Beijing. The 18-year-old figure skater also won bronze at the World Championships and two third-place finishes at the European Championships.
