China’s Ding Liren , who will be facing Nepomniachtchi in the next title match, is still in third place with 2788 points.
Among Russian chess players, the top 20 also includes Alexander Grischuk (2745), who moved up one place to 12th place.
The match for the title of world chess champion will take place in Astana (Kazakhstan) from April 7 to May 1. In the summer of 2022, Carlsen declined to defend his title, citing a lack of motivation.
