It is not yet known whether Lucescu will work with Dynamo next season
Acting head coach of Dynamo Alexander Shovkovsky told how he relates to the fact that he is called the successor Mircea Lucescu.
“Now I am in the Dynamo team, in its coaching staff, and I am interested in how my team will play. We are preparing and are constantly in contact with the head coach. But you will never hear about such things from within the team, no matter how hard you try to “pull” it. There is a management that will resolve all issues, there are contractual obligations to the players, the coaching staff and every person working in the team. So this question is not for me.
“Team of Ukraine? Now I work at Dynamo and all my thoughts are connected with the club. I am completely immersed in working with this team. What will happen tomorrow, no one knows. Let’s win this war first, and then we’ll think about everything else.”
Recall that the Romanian specialist underwent surgery on the left thigh. Lucescu will have a long rehabilitation process after the operation. Previously, the coach was diagnosed with arthrosis of the hip joint. Oleksandr Shovkovskiy became acting head coach during Lucescu’s sick leave.
Having defeated Kryvbas (1:0), Dynamo scored 50 points and is fourth in the UPL standings. In the next round of the Ukrainian Championship, Dynamo will play against Chornomorets.
