Megafight will take place on May 20 in Las Vegas
WBC, WBO and IBF welterweight title holder Errol Spence commented on the upcoming fight of the absolute world champion in lightweight Devina Haney against ex-champion in three divisions Vasily Lomachenko.
“I prefer Haney. Do you want to bet on Lomachenko? Haney boxing, he’s fast and sharp. I predict Devin will beat Loma.”
The fight between Lomachenko and Haney will take place on May 20 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden and will be broadcast on the PPV system on ESPN+. More than 13,000 tickets have been sold for the fight.
There are no plans to broadcast the fight in Ukraine yet. The MEGOGO service, which previously broadcast Lomachenko’s fights, and also acts as the official broadcaster of Oleksandr Usyk’s fights, refused to show the Lomachenko-Haney fight.
Vasily in his last fight defeated the American Jemaine Ortiz. For the Ukrainian, this was the first and only fight for 10 months.
Haney defeated George Kambosos again last October to retain the WBC, WBA Super, IBF and WBO lightweight titles.
