On June 6, Russian troops blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, creating a humanitarian and environmental catastrophe on a national scale. Kherson region on both banks of the Dnieper suffered the most from the consequences of the war crime of the occupiers – here more than 80 points were under the threat of flooding.
The FAVBET company sent 5 million hryvnias to eliminate the consequences of the terrorist attack at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, promptly supporting the collection of the official fundraising platform “Help the Ratuvalniks” UNITED 24.
Charitable Foundation Favbet Foundation also helped bring humanitarian aid to the Kherson region.
“When they heard about the tragedy, they understood that they needed to go immediately. We quickly organized everything necessary and the very next day a team of fund employees, together with our partner friends, went to Kherson.”– says a member of the supervisory board of the fund Sergey Kovalchuk.
Help was brought in two beads. More than three tons of drinking water and a ton of medical supplies were placed inside for one of the largest medical institutions in the Kherson region KNP – “Kherson City Clinical Hospital named after A.S. Luchansky».
“The hospital staff are incredibly brave and responsible people. When we brought help, there was another shelling, the wounded began to arrive at the reception department of the institution. Despite the sounds of explosions and a direct threat to life, all the employees of the institution remained on the ground, helping the victims and accepting humanitarian aid.Sergey comments.
Thanks to the well-coordinated work of volunteers, employees of the foundation and the hospital, all humanitarian cargo was successfully delivered. Now the foundation team is preparing the next package of assistance to overcome the consequences of the tragedy.
“The people of Kherson found themselves in a terrible situation. And the task of every Ukrainian today is to show that we do not leave them alone with trouble, but unite for help and support. The Favbet Foundation will continue humanitarian activities in the region until the situation stabilizes at least a little.”– adds Sergey.
Team Favbet Foundation engaged in humanitarian work and has been supporting the Ukrainian army since the first days of a full-scale invasion. The Fund transferred humanitarian aid to the front-line regions, facilitated the evacuation of residents from the occupied territories, and also opened an Adaptation Center for Ukrainian migrants in Croatia.
Over a year and a half of the war, with the support of the Favbet Foundation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine received more than 120 vehicles and 65 modern drones, and the total amount of assistance to the army amounted to more than UAH 65 million.
