Artem Bondarenko and Daniil Sikan excelled in the blue-yellow team
Youth team of Ukraine tied with Ireland U-21 in the test match in Austria – 2:2.
Ruslan Rotan’s wards opened the scoring in the middle of the first half, Artem Bondarenko scored from the penalty spot. The Irish bounced back before half-time after a goal from defender Andrew Moran.
The Blue-Yellows again converted a penalty in the second half, this time Daniil Sikan accurately shot. However, nine minutes later defender Bosun Laval equalized again.
Rotan’s wards played their second match at the training camp in Austria. Previously, the blue-yellows beat the youth team of Kuwait (2:0).
The Ukrainian national team U-21 got into group B at Euro 2023, where they will play with Romania, Croatia and Spain. The two best teams from each quartet will advance to the playoffs of the European Youth Championship. Euro 2023 will take place from 21 June to 8 July.
