The fight between the Ukrainian and the Panamanian will be the central event of the boxing evening in Brovary on August 12
The weigh-in ceremony for the Ukrainian boxer took place Nazri Rahimova and his opponent tomorrow for the vacant title UBO World Champion junior welterweight, Panamanian Irving Berry.
The Ukrainian showed a weight of 62.7 kg. The representative of Panama was slightly heavier – 63.5 kilograms.
On August 12, in Terminal Mall, Brovary, with the support of FAVBET, a professional boxing evening will be held from the promotional company Top Boxing Generation and Balu Promotion. During the tournament, a charity auction will be held to raise funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Initially, the Ukrainian was supposed to fight against the representative of Uganda Latibu Muwongi, the champion of Africa and Uganda among professionals. However, the boxer had problems with his visa, due to which he will not be able to take part in the boxing evening in Ukraine.
Panamanian Berry is a two-time contender for world titles. In his career, he fought Jonnat Barros, Nicholas Walters, Kid Gallahad and Pablo Vicente.
22-year-old Ragimov had 14 fights in the professional ring. In 11 fights, Nazri won, six of which were ahead of schedule. In 2021, Rahimov won the title of champion of Ukraine among professionals, defeating compatriot Dmitry Tsyupka ahead of schedule.
It should be noted that the boxing evening in Brovary will be the first international boxing event in Ukraine since Russia’s full-scale military invasion of our country. The event will be broadcast by the MEGOGO media service.
