Joshua knocked out Helenius in the seventh round

The referee immediately stopped the fight after a powerful blow from the British

Former world champion Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs) knocked out the Finnish heavyweight Robert Helenius (32–5, 19 KOs). Boxing evening was held in London at the O2 arena.

In the opening rounds, both boxers behaved cautiously. Joshua picked up the pace after the third round and continued to build up the pressure. Helenius tried to counterattack, but Joshua regained control of the fight.

In the seventh round, the Briton delivered a powerful blow to the opponent’s chin, after which Robert was on the canvas. The referee stopped the fight, awarding the victory to Anthony by knockout.

Recall that Helenius was urgently invited to the fight instead of Dillian Whyte, who failed the doping test. Helenius last entered the ring on August 5 this year and defeated compatriot Mika Mielonen. Last year, the Finnish boxer was knocked out in the first round by Deontay Wilder.

Joshua won his second consecutive victory after losing the belts in a duel with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk. Earlier in March, AJ defeated American Jermaine Franklin by going all 12 rounds.
