Lalatovich: This victory is for Zorya fans. I am with the Ukrainian people

The head coach of Zorya speaks about the match against Vorskla, in which his team scored the first points this season

Head coach Zari Nenad Lalatovich commented on his team’s debut victory in championship of Ukraine in the match of the 3rd round against Vorskla.

“I have great emotions right now. It was a very difficult exit. Skripnik is a good coach, and Vorskla is a great team. Many thanks to the players for being disciplined and playing aggressively. We played the way we wanted, tactically competently. We scored an early goal and had the opportunity to score three more times in the first half and close the game.”

“In the second half, we gave the opponent the opportunity to return to the game. But we believed we had to win, and thanks to Jordan’s goal, we won.”

“I must say again that the physical condition of our players is not yet optimal. We also had a lot of injuries. Now the situation is changing. In every game we will improve and get better.”

“This victory is for Zorya fans. I am with the Ukrainian people. I really want the war to end as soon as possible. So that not a single Ukrainian mother would cry and that your country would live better. I came here at the most difficult moment in the history of Ukraine, showing by this how much I love this country. Ukraine in my heart. I want to leave my mark here.”

“Today, Turbaevsky took the place at the gate, because we have three young goalkeepers who we will give a chance, since they are all about the same level.”

“Nazariy Rusin is injured, but we hope that he will be ready for Alexandria.”

Recall that Zorya beat Vorskla (2:1) on the road in the match of the 3rd round of the UPL. All goals in this meeting were scored by legionnaires.

In the next round of the Ukrainian Championship, Vorskla will play against Veres, while Zorya will face Alexandria.
