Rotan: Frightened or lost in the first half

Oleksandriya’s manager says the team will continue to work on the transfer market

Head coach Alexandria Ruslan Rotan was dissatisfied with the actions of the team in the first half of the match with miner (1:2) in the third round Ukrainian Premier League.

“Firstly, I should probably congratulate Shakhtar on the victory. As for the game, today there were two different halves, if we talk about Alexandria. In the first half we got lost or more frightened because we wanted to play on the first number. We constantly tell the guys that even with such teams you need to control the ball and not be afraid to play with it and make mistakes. But mistakes to mistakes make a big difference.”

“If we train it and make mistakes, there are no questions, but if we don’t train it and make mistakes, this is a problem. The guys understand, and this is the most important thing. In the second half there was already a different team, we were striving for more, apparently, we deserved more too. But you have to accept the result as it is. I think if we keep this mood of the team to be better, which is in training, then these victories will come in the future.”

“There is time. Yes, there will still be transfers. You know that today there should be a debutant from Ecuador who plays at the position of the left back, I don’t know why it was not possible to declare him. But this enhancement, I think, is of sufficient quality. Now we are focusing on youth, paying attention to the development of young players and thinking about the future.”

Oleksandriya suffered their first defeat of the new season and are seventh in the UPL with six points. In the next round, Rotan’s wards will play Zorya on August 18.
